Marianna “Mickey” White, 78, passed away today in South Bend, Indiana on November 9, 2018. She was born on November 6, 1940 in San Antonio, TX to Clarence and Helen (Scanlan) Galloway, they preceded her in death. On January 6, 1998 Mickey married Ronald Lautzenheiser, he survives, along with her children; Reed White, Melissa White, Theron M. (Charlotte) Lautzenheiser and Kristin Jordan; six grandchildren: Jenna, Danielle, Natalie White, Rickey and Eriq Jordan, Sara Jade Potts and her siblings; Dorothy Singleton, Tommy Galloway, Bill Galloway and her sister in law Marica Flets.

Mickey managed the YMCA Youth Camp, Camp Bellowood, in Union, MI, served on the Elkhart City Police Department and following her retirement from EPD, owned and operated “Main Street Country Kitchen,” in Elkhart. Mickey worked closely in the 60’s and 70’s with women in the community to pioneer education on crimes against women. She served as Elkhart Police Department’s lead expert and detective in crimes of rape and battery against women.

Mickey Cherished her family and friends more than anything. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Elkhart at Central Christian Church, 418 W Franklin St, Elkhart, IN 46516, on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 2 p.m. EST. Hahn Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
