Marie L. Navilio, 97, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019 at home in Kearny, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny on Monday, Feb.

25 from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery, Linden, NJ. Condolences and memories may be shared at thiele-reid.com. Miss Navilio was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Ozone Park, NY before moving to Kearny in 1938.

She was a bookkeeper for Charles A. Redder Co. in Newark, NJ for 17 years before retiring in 1990. She is survived by her dear friends, Pat and Dave Smart, Marion Steen, Gonzalo Silva and her neighbors on Highland Avenue. Marie was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Mary (nee Schmallberger) Navilio and two brothers, John and Anthony Navilio.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org) would be appreciated.
