Marie Yvette Oras, 55, of Lebanon, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 15, 2018 at her home with her loving family by her side. Born in Manila, Philippines, she was the daughter of the late Romeo and Flordeliza (Bernabe) Vidal. Marie was a person who enjoyed life and could not have enough of it.

She always had a love of music. In her youth she played piano and danced ballet. She was also a good cook.

She loved to garden and had a passion for art and taking photographs. Marie was a devoted wife to Jeffrey and loved her dogs, Lucy and Shiloh, with all her heart. When marrying Jeff, she became a capable dental assistant, as well as a business manager determined to make Jeff’s dental practice a success.

Marie was also very compassionate who, despite her shyness, was able to touch people’s hearts. Before leaving she said, “give love, especially to those who need it most”. She most definitely, beyond her abilities, thought more of others than herself.

Marie was a kind, gentle soul who saw the beauty in everything. Marie is survived by her sister,Cynthia and her husband John, her brother Manuel and his wife Concetta, her nephew/godson Stephen, her nieces Noelle, Megan and Leela and her nephew/godson Frank as well as by her dogs Lucy and Shiloh. Friends may visit the family on Sunday October 21 from 4:00-7:00pm at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen.

A mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 22 at 10:00am at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in North Plainfield. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Basking Ridge.
