OBITUARY Marilyn Elizabeth Bourgeois August 15, 1934 – August 31, 2018 Marilyn Cassano Bourgeois, age 84, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, August 31, 2018. She was a graduate of Saint Joseph’s Academy and Spencer Business College. She volunteered in many community activities including her church, Our Lady of Mercy and Our Lady of the Lake Hospital for several years.

She was preceded in death by her parents Maurice and Bertha Reine Cassano. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Edward J. Bourgeois Jr.; son, Kenny (Jan) Bourgeois; daughters, Lisa Bourgeois and Renee’ (Danny) Smith; grandchildren, Brad (Robyn) Bourgeois, Daniel (Kristen) Bourgeois, Kayla (Joe) Smith, and Kelsey Smith; great grandchildren, Peyton, Jacob, Michael and Charlotte Bourgeois; siblings; Carolyn Staples and brother Rickey (Tricia) Cassano. Rosary will begin Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church with visitation to follow until Mass.

Mass will begin at 10:30 am. Interment will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park. A special thanks to the staff at Baton Rouge General Hospital.

The family would also like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Peter Bostick for his great dedication and personal attention to Marilyn and her family.
