Mario Da Silva June 22, 1931 – December 23, 2018 Share this obituary Local Florists View/Sign Guest Book WATERBURY Mario Da Silva “Loving Husband, Father, Brother & Grandfather” Mario Da Silva, 87, of Waterbury, entered into the gates of heaven on Sunday, December 23, 2018 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Maria C. (Silva) Da Silva. Mario was born in Monteiros, Portugal on June 22, 1931, son of the late Jaime and Ana (Goncalves) Da Silva.

He worked for Somers Thin Strip for many years. He was a simple man who loved his family. Besides his loving wife Maria, Mario leaves behind to cherish his memory his two daughters; Gloria Silva and her husband Durval Pereira of Cheshire, Ana Silva and her husband Tomas Lourenco of Wolcott, his siblings; Julio Silva and his wife Leonor of Waterbury and Aida Dias of Waterbury.

He also leaves behind his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son; Jorge Silva, brother Jose Silva and brother-in-law, Domingos Dias. Arrangements: A funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, 9:00 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial, The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury to Our Lady of Fatima Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Calvary Mausoleum.

A calling hour will be held on Wednesday morning from 8:00 – 9:00 at the funeral home.
