Marion “Carl” Waldon, 77, of Farmersburg passed away Monday September 24, 2018 at 4:11 am in his residence. He was a retired Signalman for CSX Railroad. Carl was born May 22, 1941 in West Terre Haute to Leonard Lee Waldon and Thelma Lucille (Irwin) Waldon.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathy (Swander) Waldon; daughter, Megan Higginbotham (Matt); sons, Justin Waldon (Tracey), Jason Waldon (Brook Knight), and Travis Waldon; sister, Maryjane Waldon; brother-in-law, Mark Swander (Cathi) and 10 grandchildren. He was a veteran of the US Army. Carl was a member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association and the National Rifle Association.

He was a calf roper and enjoyed hunting and drag racing. Visitation will be Thursday September 27, 2018 from3:00 until 7:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services at 7:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Lee officiating. Military Honors will be at 3:00 pm provided by Vigo County Veterans Honor Guard.
