OBITUARY Marion Douglas Glascock October 22, 1938 – July 13, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Marion Douglas Glascock, age 79, born October 22, 1938, in Loudoun County, VA, to Marion O. Glascock and Gladys Quesenberry Glascock. Doug, better known to many as “Slowpoke”, retired as a truck driver for I.J. and E.W. Long of Opal, VA. He spent his early years working for Southern States in Fairfax, worked on dairy farms and drove for John Sisk trucking of Culpeper.

He enjoyed spending time watching several of his grandchildren play little league and school sports, fishing and just sitting and talking with people. Doug leaves to cherish his memory five children. Peggy Bailey and her husband Jeff of Culpeper, Don “ Speedy” Glascock of Cleveland, VA, Diane Moreland of Kearneysville, WV, Douglas “ Leroy” Glascock and his wife Dessie of Charlestown, WV, Harold “Willie” Glascock and his wife Tina of Culpeper, fourteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, longtime friends Carlyle and Mary Long of Culpeper and Virginia Glascock of Charles Town, WV, whom he was married to for twenty-three years.

In addition to his parents, his brother, Norman Glascock, also preceded him in death. The family will receive friends at Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper Monday, July 16, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in the Union Cemetery, 12930 Lutheran Church Road, Lovettsville, VA. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons, J.D. Bailey, Douglas Hartley, Daniel, Matthew and Patrick Glascock, his son-in-law, Jeff Bailey and good friend Joe Bailey.
