Marion Katherine Kranz October 26, 1932 – May 09, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book Marion Kranz nee Kowalk, passed away peacefully at home, on the morning of May 9, 2019 at the age of 86. She was the beloved wife of the late Norman Kranz. Dear mother of Carol (Ray) Presnak, Jeanne (Scott) Pattison, Kathy (Scot) Campbell and Barbie (Dave) Noeldner.

Cherished grandmother of Jason (Melanie) Presnak, Renee’ (Adam) Bulla, Matt (Jessica) Presnak, Heather (Brad) Robertson, Paul Campbell, Kristin (Brandon) Whitmore, Matt (Brittany) Pattison, Kristy Campbell, Daniel Noeldner and the late Katie Campbell (Paul Miller). Great-grandmother of Dylan, Kylie, Preston, Beckett, Kaylie, Carter, Taylor, Camden, Clara and Landon. Preceded in death by her sister Norma (late John Mayer and late John L. Petersen) Mayer.

Dear aunt, cousin and friend to many. Marion was a graduate of Thornton Community High School, class of ’50. Marion was a wonderful homemaker, member of the Ladies Aid and Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.

She was also an avid reader, crocheted beautiful afghans, created treasured Christmas ornaments, enjoyed her flowers and garden, and canned many delights for family and friends. Resting at the Tews-Ryan Funeral Home on Wednesday May 15, from 4 – 7 p.m. Mrs. Kranz will lie-in-state on Thursday at the Salem Lutheran Church 18324 Ashland Ave in Homewood from 10 a.m. until the time of Service at 11 a.m. Interment Homewood Memorial Garden Cemetery.
