OBITUARY Marion R. Goodell September 6, 1920 – December 14, 2018 Marion R. Goodell, 98, of Swanzey, passed away on December 14, 2018 with family by her side at the Carpenter Home in Swanzey, NH. She was born on September 6, 1920 in St. Johnsbury, VT, the daughter of Douglas and Isabel (Foster) Burden. On August 7, 1944 she married Reginald L. Goodell.

Marion had been a member of the Baptist Church of Troy and a member of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary in Swanzey. She loved animals – especially cats. Marion was vibrant and enjoyed life and spending time with friends and family.

Marion will be dearly missed by her son: Gilbert Goodell of Richmond; siblings: Robert Burden of West Chicago, IL and Catherine Southworth of West Fairlee, VT; daughter-in-laws: Freda Goodell, Carolyn Goodell, Kathy Goodell Bedaw, son-in-law: Charles Leutzinger, grandchildren: Jean Goodell, Duane Goodell, Jr., Gabriel Goodell, Heather Johnson, Neil Goodell, Jr., Kelly Larocque, Tommy Goodell, Kenny Goodell, Morgan Goodell, Dana Goodell, Wendy Goodell, Scott Goodell; Nancy Kohler, and Diana Taylor as well as many great-grandchildren and extended family members. She was predeceased by her husband: Reginald L. Goodell; children: Duane E. Goodell, Sr. and Neil L. Goodell; step-son Marcine (Mac) Goodell, and siblings: Harold Burden, Paul Burden, Elizabeth Foglia, and Arlene Grant. Family and friends are invited to call at the Fletcher Funeral Home, 33 Marlboro Street, Keene, NH on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

A graveside service will take place in the spring at Mt. View Cemetery in Swanzey, NH. Memorial donations in Marion Goodell’s name may be sent to The Carpenter Home, 1 Simeneau Lane, Swanzey, NH 03446.
