Marion M. (Troell) Bacher, 93, a resident of Heritage Hill Senior Living Community, Weatherly and formerly of St. Johns, passed away Saturday morning at Weatherwood Nursing Home, Weatherly. Born in Freeland, December 19, 1924, she was the daughter of William and Mary (Grohol) Troell and spent the past three years in Heritage Hill after residing for most of her life in St. Johns. Marion was a homemaker for most of her life, but had also worked at RCA, Camden, NJ and several local garment factories.

She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, St. Johns and the church’s women’s guild. She was preceded in death, by her husband Byron W. Bacher, to whom she had been married 61 years prior to his death in 2008; a daughter Sherri Dushenko, 2017; and a brother Joseph Troell, 2018. Surviving are three brothers William Troell, Jr., Freeland; Edward Troell and his wife Pat, Fairfax, VA; Ronald Troell and his wife Pat, Langhorne; four sisters Mildren Martincik and Mary Ann Wilson, both of Freeland; Martha Malletz, Beaver Meadows; and Dolores Sitch, Lattimer; a son-in-law Mark Dushanko; two grandchildren Cameron and Olivia Dushanko; and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums. Burial will follow in St. Johns Lutheran and UCC Cemetery, St. Johns. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 10 am until the time of the service.
