Eric J. Burger, 32, of Sugarloaf, beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, Godson, nephew, cousin and friend left this world Friday October 5 leaving his family’s warmth and love only to pass on to the waiting arms of the cherished family members who have gone before him. Born in Berwick, PA, January 5, 1986, he was the son of Robert and Joann (Herness) Burger, Drums and had spent the past 5 years in Sugarloaf after moving from Drums. Eric was a Machine Operator for Offrey LLC, Berwick.

He was a social member of the Valley Vets, Conyngham, an avid hunter and fisherman who loved anything to do with the outdoors. Eric was compassionate and passionate in everything he did especially if it was helping others. He always gave his best in everything he did.

He will forever be his niece Maggie’s protector and guardian angel. He was preceded in death, to his maternal grandparents and his paternal grandfather. Surviving in addition to his parents, is a brother Robert Burger; sister Jennifer Flores and her husband Vicente; niece Margaret Flores; and his paternal grandmother Irene Burger, all of Drums; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

His funeral will be held Thursday at 8 pm at Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 pm until the time of the service. Burial will take place privately in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.
