Obituary for Marjorie Ann Hillberry FORT WORTH – Marjorie (Margie) Anne Pointelin Hillberry passed from this life after a brief battle with cancer on Thursday, May 24, 2018. She was born Aug. 5, 1937, to Fred and Virginia Pointelin and spent her childhood years in Rosedale, Kansas.

She married Gary Ellsworth Hillberry on Nov. 14, 1958. Margie was mom to two sons, David Michael Hillberry and Todd Joseph Hillberry.

As a military family, they lived in numerous places during her life, but settled in Fort Worth, Texas in 1974. Margie was a phenomenal daughter, sister, wife, mom, grandma, aunt, great grandma and friend and was loved deeply by all who knew her. She had an extraordinary imagination.

She loved all arts and crafts, garage sale shopping and spending time with her family. She had an incredible ability to decorate for everything. Her home was always decorated throughout for the various holidays – even ones that many people didn’t even realize where holidays.

She cared for many of her grandchildren while their moms worked and even cared for two great-granddaughters up until a few months before she passed away. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Virginia Pointelin. Survivors: Loving husband of 59 years, Gary; brother, Rick Pointelin (Laura Wheelock) of Tennessee; sons, David Hillberry (Syndi) of Whitney, Texas and Todd Hillberry (Leslie) of Plano, Texas; granddaughter, Tami Hillberry of California (who was born on Margie’s birthday); grandsons, Zachary Hillberry(Brianne), Brandon Hillberry (Jessicah) and Andy Hillberry(Ellyn); great-grandsons, Donny Jones, and LeRoy Hillberry; great-granddaughters, Violet Hillberry and LilyBelle Hillberry; several nieces and nephews; as well as many loving extended members and friends, and her beloved cat, Pete.
