Marjorie Anne Gibson, age 75, of Dallas, GA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 12, 2018. She was born on December 14, 1942, in Washington, GA, to the late William Robert Sale & Mary Lois Bufford Sale. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Horace Eugene ‘Gene’ Gibson; sister, Janelle Sale Wolf; and a step-son, Phillip Gibson.

Marjorie was known by many and enjoyed time with her friends, family and especially her grandchildren. She was a faithful member of the Dallas First United Methodist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. Marjorie was retired from Fulton and Henry Counties DFCS with a combined service of thirty years.

Survivors include her daughter, Michelle & Josh Banta of Dallas, GA; step-sons, Keith Gibson of Ft. Worth, TX, and David Gibson of Gran Prairie TX; brother, David & Gloria Sale of Elberton, GA; sister, Peggy Sale of Tignall, GA; grandchildren, Gracie, Joshua, Jacob, Abigail, and Emmie Banta all of Dallas, GA; step-grandchildren, Jennifer Karter & Dustin Gibson both of TX; many nieces & nephews; and loving friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018, at 11:00 AM at the Dallas First United Methodist Church with Rev.

Chris Pavlovsky officiating. Interment will follow the service Friday at 2:30 PM at the McDonough City Cemetery with Mike Sale, Ronald Wolfe, Joshua Banta Jr., Mason Sale, David Gibson and Keith Gibson serving as pallbearers. Danny Gibson will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Flowers are accepted or donations can be made to Dallas United Methodist Church building fund. 141 East Memorial Drive, Dallas, GA.
