A Celebration of Life for Marjorie Helen Prestridge Emanuel of El Reno, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday March 28, 2019 in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Glen Chapman officiating. Services are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home.

Marjorie was born to Uburn Moore and Ethel Daugherty Prestrigde on July 2, 1925, in Cheyenne, OK. After graduating from high school, she attended OBU and OU as a piano performance major. She loved marching in the OU Band and remained an OU football fan for life.

In 1947, Marjorie married Ollen D. Emanuel and moved to El Reno in 1955. She enjoyed teaching piano lessons for 67 years and considered her students her second family. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was active in the music program and taught Sunday School for 35 years.

She loved life and the joy of music. She is survived by daughters, M’Lynn Emanuel, Jeanne Von Tungeln, D’June Emanuel, Julie Hardy and husband Lee, and Gina Emanuel; granddaughters and their husbands, Amy and Todd Heap, Christie and Steven Fry, Mandi and Brett Smith, K’Lei and Robert West, Larkin and Brandon Witmyer; 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, George and Jeff Prestridge; and son-in-law, Bruce Von Tungeln.
