Marjorie’s Obituary Marjorie Louise Jensen, age 96, of Nappanee, died at 9:21 pm, Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Woodland Manor in Elkhart. She was born August 11, 1922 in Atwood to George Dewey and Ruby B. (Smith) Martin. She lived her lifetime in the Nappanee area and was a 1940 graduate of Nappanee High School.

On January 18, 1942, she married Frederick Jensen in Kempton, IN. He preceded her in death October 18, 1992. Mrs. Jensen retired from Bluebell in Nappanee after working there for 27 years.

At the age of 90, she retired from working in the office at Nappanee United Methodist Church. She was a member of Nappanee United Methodist Church and was active in Dorcas Circle and volunteered in the United Methodist Thrift Shop. She also volunteered with Open Door in Nappanee.

She was a past Matron of Eastern Star, a member and past president of Nappanee American Legion Auxiliary, past treasurer of District American Legion Auxiliary and was on the committee that started the Nappanee Alumini Dinners. She also enjoyed playing cards in a card group, was active in Nappanee Caregivers, and the Widow’s Luncheon Group. Surviving are her daughters, Kay (Ron) Bauman, Linda Bolt, both of Nappanee; sons, Fred (Cheryl) Jensen, Montour Falls, NY, Jan Edwin Jensen, South Bend, Brian Jensen, Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren, Judy, Jan, Lex, Lisa, Mary, Aaron, Alric, Sean, Michelle, Lily, Samantha; 10 great grandchildren; and sisters, Rosemary Cain, Nappanee, Patricia Martin, Kokomo, and Sue Hinton, Nappanee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Steven Wayne Jensen, brother, James Albert Martin, and son-in-law, Eric Bolt. Family and friends may call from 2-8 Thursday, May 16th at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee and for 1 hour prior to the Funeral Service, which will be at 10:30 am, Friday, May 17th at Nappanee United Methodist Church. Rev.

Kevin Reed will officiate and burial will be in Stony Point Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Nappanee United Methodist Church or National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
