Mark A. Livolsi age 56 of Pasadena California formerly of Canonsburg and Howell NJ died unexpectedly September 23, 2018. He was born April 10, 1962 in St Clair Hospital a son of Donna L. Mastrangioli Livolsi of Canonsburg and the late Charles P. Livolsi, illustrator and caricature artist at the former Pittsburgh Press. Mark was a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School class of 1980 and where he was inducted into the Hall of Honors.

In 1984 he was a graduate of Penn State University with a Degree in Film. Always interested in the movies, Mark would make films with the neighborhood children using his father’s 8mm camera. He worked in film for may years in New York and worked on a few movies with Woody Allen.

While living in New Jersey he married Maria Falsetta on October 5, 1985 who survives. He moved to California in 1994 and became a film editor primarily known for his work on hit comedies including The Wedding Crashers, Marley and Me and the Devil Wears Prada. He was nominated for four Ace Eddie Awards for editing, most recently for his work on the Blind Side.

His latest endeavors were The Jungle Book, Saving Mr. Banks, Wonder and The Lion King, working with his son Mark, which is due out in the summer of 2019. Mark was a member of the American Cinema Editors (ACE) and the Academy of motion Picture Arts and Sciences. In addition to his mother and wife, left behind to cherish his memory are his two beloved children Mark C. Livolsi of Pasadena California and his daughter Madeleine Livolsi of Asbury Park NJ, his brother Timothy (Pam Rizzo) Livolsi and their children Timothy Jr., Lindsay and Ryan Livolsi of State College PA, his mother’s longtime companion Anthony (Tony) Porco, his aunt and uncle Josie and Joe D’Orazio, his in-laws, Frank and Mary Falsetta of Bridge NJ, and many cousins and friends.

Deceased in addition to his father are his maternal grandparents, Alfred and Katherine Underkoffler Mastrangioli and his paternal grandparents, Mario and Frances Camarata Livolsi.
