Always a happy, calm, and content child, he was the light of our life. He was a very generous person who got along with everyone and he had the biggest heart with the brightest blue eyes. Mark had a deep passion for football, movies (especially Marvel), and all history topics.

He had a love for his trucks and his cat Taz, along with sentimental attachments to family heirlooms, such as, restoring his dad’s truck and cherishing his grandpa’s railroad watch. He attended school in Mandan where he started in sports such as basketball and baseball, but found his passion for music starting in the 5th grade where he had a natural talent with the trombone. He has many, many memories from his music, including special trips to Minneapolis, Chicago, Boston, and Dallas.

In 2011 he graduated from Mandan High School, he then attended Bismarck State College Mechanical Maintenance Program. While in school he worked at McDonalds, Hedahls, and O’Reilly’s. He began his career working at TrueNorth Steel, Great Plains Technical Services and Northern Improvement when he started at Space Aliens, where he continued to work.

We are deeply saddened by losing him, he is forever in our hearts. We are extremely grateful to have had him in our life. Mark will be deeply missed by his parents, Mark and Cherry; one sister, Cydnee and her fiancé, Andy Gregoryk; one nephew, Carter; grandparents, Donald and Marlene Geiger; uncles and aunts, Doug (Patty) Geiger, Daryn Geiger, Marla (Gary) Kitzan, Matt (Sandi) Geiger, Dustin (Kelly) Geiger, Mary Ann (Bob) Leingang, Donna Stoltz, Lester (Sandie) Friesz, Victor (Mary) Friesz, Larry (Lydia) Friesz, Elden Friesz, Lanette (Gary) Markel, Deb (Arlan) Thingvold, Pam Ciavarella and Kevin Ladwig, Julie (Dan) Moser, and Laura Friesz; and many cousins and friends.

He loved and cherished all! He was preceded in death by grandparents, Anton and Elizabeth Friesz; uncle, Donald C. Geiger; and cousins, Courtney Smith and Derek Ciavarella. Go to Mark’s Tribute Wall to sign the guestbook and share memories with his family.
