Mark Barfield Young, 67, passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 23, 2019. He was born in Prescott, AZ to the late Alden Young and Ella Burge. Mark was married to Shari Young, his loving wife of 24 yrs.

He was devoted to his family and loved being Pop to his only granddaughter. His family describes him simply as a “super guy” that would do anything for anyone, kindhearted, and easy to be around. Mark was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus.

He was both an Army and Marine veteran, having served nearly 18 years in the armed forces. He held a bachelor’s degree and was a Warehouse Manager in Columbus, Ms. For 17 years before retiring. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Gary M. Young and John Young.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Shari Young; daughter, Lauren (Willie) Bailey; granddaughter, Harper Bailey; brother, Robert (Cynthia) Young; sister, Virginia Young; niece, Georgia Young; nephew, Tommy Newton; and brother-in-law, Neal Fine.
