Marlene A. Penniston, beloved wife of Joseph P. Chervenak, passed away on April 26, 2018. She was born in Wisconsin on September 2, 1934 to the late Marjorie Uffelman. Marlene spent a 31 year career as a legal secretary for Montgomery County.

After retiring, she and her husband opened and ran an antique store, in Olney, MD, called A Gallery of Rare Treasures. In addition to her husband of28 years, Marlene is survived by her daughter Susan Penniston and her husband Mark Jensen; a son Brian Penniston; and step-son Joe Chervenak and his wife Kimberly. She is also survived by her grandchildren Renee Jensen, Adam Jensen, Madeline Chervenak and Catherine Chervenak.

Marlene was predeceased by her first husband Dean Penniston. A memorial visitation will be on Saturday, May 5, from 2 until 3:30 pm, in the chapel of the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., where memorial service will begin at 3:30 pm. Interment will be held at a later date.
