Marlene R. Beaton, aged 87 of Grand Rapids passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Herpolsheimer and Elaine Scott. She is survived by 2 daughters Renee (Thomas Credeur) Therriault, Kathy (Dale) Sholty; 2 sons Donald Therriault, Edward (Julie) Therriault; 5 grandsons Kyle Therriault, Chad Therriault, Casey Therriault, Lukas Therriault, Gary Sholty; 2 great-grandchildren Achelle Therriault, and Peyton Therriault.

Marlene spent her youth at Marywood Academy and summers at Bill’s Lake in Newaygo County with her dog, Pal. She graduated from Grand Rapids Central High School in 1949 and was a graduate of Michigan State University in 1954 where she met her first husband, Donald R. Therriault. Marlene enjoyed dancing and spending her winters in Florida with her second husband Don Beaton, and she loved animals.

There will be a memorial service to remember Marlene at Vista Springs Riverside Gardens. The date will be announced soon.
