Obituary for Martha C Tornatta Martha C. (Adcock) Tornatta, 92, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Holiday Village Assisted Living. She was born June 23, 1925 to the late Anna (Nix) and Clifford Adcock. Martha graduated from Reitz High School class of 1943 and attended Lockyear Business College.

She worked at Republic Aviation during World War II and later Mead Johnson where she met her husband, Robert. She and her husband enjoyed dancing at the Trocadero and were longtime members of Central Turners. She was very active in the FOP Women’s Auxiliary.

Following her husband’s retirement from the Police Department, Martha and Robert owned and operated Warrick Beverage Corporation from 1971-1991. Martha, family, and friends spent many years and good times at their lake house on Lake Barkley in Cadiz, KY. Martha and Robert were 50-year season ticket holders for the University of Evansville basketball team.

She enjoyed her time with the Eastland Mall Walkers and her exercise group at St. Mary`s. She thoroughly enjoyed her last few years and many friends she met at Holiday Village that became her extended family. Martha is survived by her daughters, Martha (Tim) Gump of Mesa, AZ, Patricia (Gary) Eble of Boonville, IN; son, Robert J. (Sharon) Tornatta of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Kelly Eble, Andrew (Heather) Eble, Molly (Jonathon) Grzesik, Katie (Justin) Forshey, and Scott Gowdy; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Elise Eble and Jordan Grzesik; sister Rita Miller; brother, Jim (Margie) Adcock, and Carl (Wanda) Adcock.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert Tornatta; parents; sisters, Edith Bierlein, Dorothy Hudgens, Mary Meier; and brother, Joseph Adcock. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 6:00 pm, Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 South Hebron. Visitation will continue from 9:30 until 10:00 am, Monday, June 11, 2018, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2301 North Stockwell Road.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 am at the church, with Father Zach Etienne and Father Ted Tempel officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2301 North Stockwell Road, Evansville, IN 47715 or Rileys Children’s Hospital, 705 Riley Hospital Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46202.
