OBITUARY Martha Gail Hewett Register July 6, 1940 – December 17, 2018 Martha Gail Hewett Register, age 78 of Shallotte went home to be with the Lord on Monday December 17, 2018 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She was born on July 6, 1940 in Brunswick County the daughter of the late Willie Bion Hewett and Trixie Ellen Stanley Hewett. Surviving are her loving family, her husband of 51 years, Tommy Register of the home; her children, Amy Register Cook and husband, Bill of Calabash, Sue Register Rhodes of Shallotte, Reverend Mark Register and wife, Theresa of Ash and Polly Register Barnhill and husband, Larry of Whiteville; her grandchildren, Adam Glisson, Amanda Watkins, Sara Watkins, Tommi Rhodes, Joshua White, Madison White Batten, Maggie Barnhill and Joshua Barnhill; 3 great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Kate Benton, Anastasia White and Penelope Rhodes.

Funeral services will be held at three o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday December 20, 2018 at White Funeral and Cremation Service Shallotte Chapel with Reverend Jason L. Benton officiating. Burial will follow in the Mintz Cemetery. A time of visitation will be an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
