Martha Parrish Bloom, 81 of Warrenton, Virginia, passed away November 11, 2018 at Aldie, Virginia. She was born February 27, 1937 in Alexandria, Virginia. She retired from her work with the United States Air Force in 2006 after 38 ½ years of Federal Service.

She graduated in the last class at Enon High School in 1955. She earned a bachelor’s degree in management from National Lewis University at the age of 50. Martha was a long-time member of the Enon United Methodist Church, Enon, Ohio and was currently attending Greenwich Presbyterian Church in Nokesville, Virginia.

Throughout her life Martha volunteered in her community in many different roles. She was a Cub Scout leader and held various other Scouting positions helping her two sons to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. She served as a Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Teacher, and volunteered in many other church activities at different churches she attended while moving around the United States with her husband, Michael (Lt.

Colonel USAF, retired, deceased). She also served as an Air Force Arlington Lady at Arlington National Cemetery. Martha is preceded in death by; her husband Michael Isaac Bloom, parents Paul and Imogene Parrish, and sister Betty Betscher.

She is survived by her sons; Joseph (Susan) Bloom of Warrenton, VA and granddaughters Elizabeth, Katherine and Charlotte, and John (Christine) Bloom of Potomac Falls, VA and grandson Michael and granddaughter Kaylin; sisters Nancy (Larry) Grube of Enon, OH and Fran (Dale) Henry of Enon, OH, sister-in-law Sheba (Woody Kinsbrunner) Noll of Somerset, NJ, Aunt Fern (Jim) Terrell of Paris, IL, nieces, Leslie (Grant) Bates, Lisa (Jeff) Hunter, Cyndee (Brian) Vass, Karen Livingston and nephews Bill Noll, Dan (Jennifer) Grube, Brian (Diane) Grube, David (Brandi) Henry. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday November 17th at 1pm at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Avenue, Warrenton, VA 20186. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery with her husband.
