Obituary for Martin White Martin Lee White passed into eternal life unexpectedly in his sleep on January 9th, 2019. He was 68. Martin was born on Jan 3rd, 1951, in Vallejo, California, the third of six children born to George and Mary White.

Martin grew up in San Diego, CA attending San Diego High School and graduating from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in History in 1973. Martin was married to the former Wendy Stubbs of San Diego, CA on August 13th, 1977. Martin spent his professional career serving as a federal agent in several agencies including Social Security, Defense Investigative Service, and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

Martin retired in 2012 after 37 years of faithful service. Martin formed many lasting and meaningful friendships with his coworkers and was recognized for his hard work and integrity. Martin took pride in spending most of his career working from home, where he could be close and available to his family.

Martin was loved by all who knew him for his goodness and giving nature. He lived life with integrity and set an example for kindness, gentleness, and sacrifice. Martin was well known for mentoring, teaching, and encouraging others both at work and in his family.

Martin loved his family with the entirety of his soul, living as a committed husband, father, and pop to his grandchildren. Nothing gave him greater joy than being with his family. Martin was inspired by his faith in Christ, and served for over 28 years as a leader in the AWANA programs at Skyline Wesleyan, SonRise, and First Baptist Church, Lemon Grove.

He touched many lives. Martin is survived by his wife Wendy and children Mary (Jeremy) Hoesly, Noah (Suzanne), Joshua (Rebecca), and James (Catherine). Martin was blessed with three grand children that he loved dearly, Reuben, Rebecca Rose, and Emily.

Martin is also survived by his sisters Catherine (Dale) Sievert, Marlene (Steve) Jantz, and Marcia (Don) McKeag. He is preceded by his parents and brothers Milton and George. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church, Lemon Grove at 16:00 on Friday, January 18th.

Martin believed strongly in Christian education, and donations in his honor may be made to support financial assistance for needing families.
