Marvin L. “Buddy” Hott, a lifetime resident of Henryetta passed away Wednesday, April 25th, 2018 in Henryetta at the age of 74. He was born May 12, 1943 in Henryetta to Marvin L. & Juanita (Randall) Hott. He was a graduate of Henryetta Public Schools and was a proud veteran of the United States Military serving in both the United States Air Force and the Army National Guard from which he retired.

During his time in the United States Air Force he worked on the B-52 bomber of which he was very proud. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Okmulgee and the Knights of Columbus. Buddy was very active in the Henryetta community where he had coached little league football and baseball.

He was active in the Boy Scouts of America for over 20 years where he was Cub Master with Pack 118, Scout Master with Troop 287 and received the Silver Beaver award on March 2, 2002, which is the highest distinction in scouting awarded to an adult. After his time in the military Buddy worked for different corporations including what is now Raytheon Corporation. He then worked at Henryetta Public Schools in maintenance and janitorial from which he retired.

Survivors include his wife, Joann of the home; One son, Shane Hott of Seminole; Two granddaughters, Mykah Hott & Journee Hott of Henryetta; An aunt, Barbara Hott of Irving, Texas; Also by cousins, a host of friends and other relatives. Viewing for Buddy will be from 6-8pm on Saturday and noon -6pm on Sunday. A Rosary will be held at 8pm, Sunday, April 29th at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Okmulgee.

Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 30, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Joshua Litwack officiating and Deacon Vincent Gruel providing the Eulogy. . Interment will be in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Anthony Maintenance Fund, P.O. Box 698, Okmulgee, Oklahoma, 74447. Pallbearers will be Jim Hays, James Beymer, John Walker, Michael Pennington, Alan Montgomery, and Brad Wion. Honorary bearers will be members of The Knights of Columbus.
