Mr. Bryan was a retired veteran having served twenty one years in the U.S. National Guard Army having been assigned to the 256th Battalion out of Jeanerette. Survivors include his wife of seventeen years, Yvonne Dupuis Bryan; two brothers-in-law, Allen Dupuis and Elton Dupuis; two sisters-in-law, Connie Sanislo and Dianne Savoy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sally Lewis Carter; his step-father Ralph Lewis, Jr., his father-in-law, Joseph Allen Dupuis; and his mother-in-law, Thelma Royer Dupuis. Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro, 4615 North University Avenue, (337) 896-6366, is in charge of arrangements.
