OBITUARY Marvin Dale Williams December 17, 1951 – September 17, 2018 Reverend Marvin “Dale” Williams was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on December 17, 1951. He was one of five children born from the union of the late Joseph and Beulah (Dobbs) Williams. They moved to Monroe, MI in 1953.

Dale attended Monroe High Schools, graduating in 1971. Dale married the love of his life, Barbara Ann Clark on July 15, 1972 in Newport, MI. Together they raised three children.

He supported his family with various jobs, Lake Erie Transit for 14 years. He medically retired from Excel in 2012 and moved to Columbus, MS. He recently moved to Blytheville, AR.

Dale was a simple man. He spent his time hunting, fishing and bowling. He loved his Detroit Tigers.

His favorite past time was playing softball. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and friends. He always had a smile on his face.

He loved to make people laugh and smile with him by telling a joke. He would always want to give everyone a big hug. He was ordained as a deacon on May 25, 1980 at Grape Missionary Baptist Church.

He was later called by the Lord to preach and was ordained as a minister on September 25, 1999. He pastored Kentucky Park Missionary Baptist Church for 4 years. He was a member of Milan Missionary Baptist Church, but was attending at Yarbro Baptist Church in Yarbro, AR.

Reverend Marvin Dale Williams, age 66, of Blytheville, AR went to be with the Lord September 17, 2018 at his home in Blytheville, AR. In addition to the passing of his parents, he was preceded by two brothers: David Eugene and Joseph Charles Williams; a sister: Betty Sue Turner; and a grandson Brandon Michael Gibson. To cherish his memory he leaves his beloved wife of forty-six years; Barbara Williams of Blytheville, AR; children: Marvin Dale Williams Jr. of Hot Springs, AR, Brenda (Jay) Gibson of Blytheville, AR, and Christina (John) Cameron of Romulus, MI; grandchildren: Trevor (Victoria) Gibson, Chelsea Gibson, Trey Smith, Meagan Williams, and Cameron Williams; sister: Judith Ann Cavins of Belleville, MI and sister-in-law: Vera Williams; and several loving nieces and nephews.

Friends may gather from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Coffey Funeral Home, 937 Broad Street, New Tazewell, Tennessee (423)281-6197. A celebration of His Life will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, September 21, 2018 also at Coffey Funeral Home with Terry Pierce of Monroe, Michigan officiating. Assisted by Andrew Ayers of Harrogate, Tennessee.

Graveside services with be held at the Dobbs Family cemetery on Saturday at 11:00 am in Forge Ridge, Tennessee. Brenda and Trevor Gibson, Derek and Matthew Massengill and the Clark Family will provide music. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Turner, Kenneth Turner II, Pete McMillian, Bill Kibert, Joe Kibert, and Doug Williams.
