OBITUARY Billy Ray May 9, 1962 – September 9, 2018 Billy Eugene Ray went home to be with the Lord on September 9, 2018. He professed his faith in Christ at the early age of 9. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Jean Ray of Sharps Chapel.

Sisters Bonima Mae Thomas, Twilia Miller, Joyce Tharp and Loretta Marlow all of Sharps Chapel. Sister-in-law Ruth Ann Ray of Sharps Chapel. Niece Renee Tharp of Sharps Chapel.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years Tammy Ray of New Tazewell. Sons Billy Ray of New Tazewell, Joshua Ray and wife Morgan of Tazewell. Grandchildren Kylie and Rylan Ray, Gage and Jackson Ray all of New Tazewell.

Sister Geneva Ann Ray of Sharps Chapel. Brothers Ricky Ray and Troy James Ray both of Sharps Chapel. Brother-in-law Butch Miller of Sharps Chapel.

Nieces Debra Gail Dyer and husband John of Sharps Chapel, Rebecca Hancock and husband Steven of Maryville. Nephews Scotty Allen Ray, Quincy Adam Cook, Brian Chester Grimes, Brian Keith Ray, David Rowe and wife Deb all of Sharps Chapel, and Kenneth (Bo) Grimes and wife Serena of Maryville. As well as a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday September 12th from 5 until 7 PM at Coffey Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the Coffey Funeral Home chapel. Ministers: Rev. Jim Smith and Rev.

Chris Brooks Singers David and Juanita Honeycutt Pallbearers: Nephews Coffey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
