Obituary for Marvin E. Hickman Marvin E. Hickman, 70 of Eaton, OH, passed away on Wednesday afternoon July 11, 2018. Marvin was born on August 27, 1947, he was a son of the late Arthur and Kathryn (Rutherford) Hickman. He was a graduate of Jackson High School in Western Preble County; and was a Vietnam War veteran serving with the US Army from 1966 – 1968.

He worked over 40 years as a truck driver, first for Emerson Electric and later for Fed-Ex (American Freight). He was a member of American Legion Post #322 of West Alexandria, VFW # 8066 of Eaton and D.A.V. Chapter #104 of West Alexandria. Marvin served as a member of the Honor Guard for both the West Alexandria American Legion and the Preble County Honor Guard.

His hobbies included woodworking, fishing and camping. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Levon and Leon Hickman,: sister Norma Rison: and father-in-law and mother-in-law Joe and Jewel McMurray. Survived by beloved wife of 25 years Kathy D. (McMurray) Hickman whom he married March 8, 1993; children Stephanie Hisey and husband Eric of Eaton; Troy Hickman and wife Maylen of Corona, CA; and Jeanne French and husband Steve of Eaton: grandchildren Joshua Hisey, Christopher Hisey, Will Henry, Zachary Henry, Troy Hickman, II, Alec Hickman, Matthew Barker and Megan Barker: great grandchildren Jaxon Henry and Troy Hickman, III: sister-in-law Phyllis Johnson and husband Bob of West Alexandria: brothers-in-law Larry McMurray and wife Elaine of West Alexandria; and David McMurray and wife Cindy of Stout, OH: along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The family wishes to thank the kind and caring folks of Vitas Hospice. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM on Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens – 3377 US Rt. 35 – West Alexandria.
