Marvin’s Obituary HYMA, Marvin James “MARV” of Bourbonnais, Illinois: formerly of Grand Blanc and White Lake, Michigan. Went to be with the Lord January 29, 2019; age 83. Preceded in death by his wife Jacquelyn “Jackie”, parents Herman and Emma Hyma, and siblings Arthur Hyma and Edith Cunningham.

Loving father of Kimberly (Richard) Shadwick, Alan (Tracy) Hyma and Brian (Melissa) Hyma. Proud grandfather of Devon, Ethan, Tyler, Abigail, Nora, Titus, and Reid and great grandfather of Jaydin and Sapphire. After graduating from Michigan Tech in 1958, Marvin started his professional career as an engineer with General Motors where he taught and led for 36 years.

After retiring from General Motors he continued to influence the automotive industry with his expertise at AO Smith and Tower Automotive. Even more important to him was his dedication to the Lord and his service at First Baptist Church of Pontiac, now Woodside Bible Church. His many areas of service include Elder, Sunday School Superintendent and head of the Building Committee.

Funeral Service 11 am Saturday, February 9, 2019 at New Life Fellowship Church 212 West 128th Street Grant, Michigan 49327. Friends may visit Saturday 10 am until time of the service. Interment Hillside Cemetery.
