Obituary for Mary Ann Rea Mary Ann Rea, age 87, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2018. She was born on March 7, 1931 to the late Richard and Regina (Bighouse) Minshall in Plain City, OH. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in German Village.

Mary Ann was well known as a waitress at Diebels, The Mohawk, and most recently, Plank’s Beer Garten. Her some of her favorite things included ice cold Cokes, jelly doughnuts, ice cream (but not soft serve), library books, Turner Classic Movies, her bike, chocolate, dogs and cats (but not all cats), a rose that had a scent (but not ones that didn’t), White Castle hamburgers with a senior discount, short homilies at Mass that make you laugh, cashews, popcorn, York Steak House, sitting on the porch, fixing special meals for her dogs, getting her nails filed, Drew Carey on The Price Is Right, Tom Kulewicz who supplied her with doughnuts every Sunday, and Jeffrey Zollinger who became a great neighbor and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Richard and granddaughter, Brandi.

. She is survived by her daughters, Vickie Rea and Sherry Rea and Mark Brown; and many dear friends and loved ones. Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM on Friday, May 25 at the O.R.
