Obituary for Mary Ann Smith Rodgers Mary Ann (Rothermel) Smith Rodgers, 70, of Lewisberry, passed away peacefully after a short illness on Thursday, April 19th at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital. She was born at Ephrata Community Hospital on December 17, 1947 to the late Charles and Mabel (Brown) Rothermel. She was a graduate of Red Lion High School, Class of 1965.

She worked in banking her whole career and retired from M&T Bank. Mary Ann was a member of Yocumtown Church of God and Green Valley Farm Women’s group. Her favorite pastimes included camping, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

She particularly enjoyed spending her summers at the beach in Ocean City, NJ. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Smith; husband, Patrick Rodgers; sister, Naomi Lane; and brother, Paul Rothermel. She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Faune Rothermel and Marlene Faus; her “Sissy”, Shirley Bucher; brother-in-law, Charlie Lane; several nieces, Nancy Robinson, Vicki Beale and Sue Newman; several nephews, Paul Lane, Ray Lane and Bryon Lane; and several great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the charity of your choice in Mary Ann’s honor. A viewing will be held at 10:00 AM, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Yocumtown Church of God, 160 Red Mill Road, Etters, PA. Burial will immediately follow at Tri-County Memorial Gardens.
