Mary’s Obituary Mary Blanche Mauldin, of Edmond, passed away November 9, 2018 in Edmond, Oklahoma at the age of 96 years. Mary was born February 6, 1922 in Winfield, Alabama to Maud Lee (White) and William Alfred Webster. She came to the Paoli area with her parents when she was two years of age.

Following her education, she held her first job with the Homer Paul Law Office. She and James Arthur “Doc” Mauldin were married in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on March 14, 1942. She worked at the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS) in Pauls Valley where she served until her retirement in 1987.

Later, she worked for a time at the Oklahoma Statistical Service. She and Doc moved to the Oklahoma City and Edmond area around 1990. Mary loved nothing more than to laugh.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Alfred and Maud Lee Webster; her husband, James Arthur ‘Doc’ Mauldin; one son, James Arthur Mauldin, Jr.; two brothers and four sisters. Surviving family include: her daughter, Joella M. Carter and husband, Bill, of Edmond; their children, Brian Ronald Carter, and Juliet Wolfe, both of Oklahoma City; Mary’s son, Roger Dean Mauldin and wife, Carlotta, of Mounds; their children, Danette Hinson and husband, Andrew, of Claremore; and Steven Mauldin and wife, Susie, of Beggs; three great grandchildren, Daxton Hinson, Matthew Mauldin and Jacob Mauldin; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Paoli Cemetery officiated by Chaplain Stuart Malloy.
