Almetia’s Obituary Almetia Ivy, of Pauls Valley, passed away March 21, 2001 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years. Almetia McCray was born November 10, 1936 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Ruby Alma (Gunter) McCray and Halls McCray. She married Billy Joe Ivy on January 11, 1954 in Gainesville, Texas.

She was a homemaker, later working at Wacker’s, Dr. E. L. Wilson and retired from the Southern Oklahoma Re Center. Almetia was a member of the Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe; her parents: father, Halls McCray and mother, Ruby Alm a Siner and step-father, William F. “Bill” Siner.

Her surviving family include her children, Dirk Ivy, of Pauls Valley; Pamela Jo Ivy and husband, Steve, of Pauls Valley; Bryan Ivy of Tulsa; and LeeAnn Long and husband, Charley, of Wynnewood; grandchildren, Rachel Ivy of Pauls Valley; Logan Branam and Caleb Branam, of Chicago, Illinois; Jake Long, Abby Long and Molly Long, all of Wynnewood; great granddaughter, Magnolia “Maggie” Long of Wynnewood. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery Pavilion officiated by Chaplain Tim Duncan.
