Mary’s Obituary Mary L. Bressie of Crawfordsville passed away Sunday morning at home. She was 91. Mary worked at America States for J. K. Milligan and Clements-Roscher in the insurance business.

She was a member of Eastern Star, where she served as Past Worthy Matron, Christ’s United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and worked with the youth. She was also a grand organizer for the Rainbow Girls. Born July 23, 1927 at Greenfield, she was the daughter of Russell A. Addison and Flora C. Main Addison.

She graduated from high school in Charlottesville, Indiana, class of 1946. She married Irving E. Bressie Sept. 30, 1951 in Greenfield and he survives.

Surviving family includes her husband, Irving Bressie of Crawfordsville, nephew, Tim Bird and two nieces, Annette Bird and Donna Frazier. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a sister, Patricia Bird, on Dec. 28, 2016.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 W. Wabash Avenue, Crawfordsville, with Eastern Star services at 8 PM. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Wednesday, May 15 at Christ’s United Methodist Church, 909 East Main Street, led by Pastor Judi Early. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery North.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ’s United Methodist Church, 909 E. Main Street, Crawfordsville, IN 47933. Online condolences may be made at www. BurkhartFH.com.
