Mary E. Wagner, 86, of Delphos, passed away at her home after a short battle with multiple myeloma on Monday, May 13, 2019, surrounded by her family. She was born April 25, 1933 in Onaway, Michigan to Harvey and Ruth (Bressenham) Wilcox, who both preceded her in death. On October 3, 1953 she was married in St. John’s Church by Fr.

Herr to Ralph E. Wagner. Ralph passed away at their northern Michigan home on April 3, 2010. Mary returned to Ohio in 2010 to be closer to her family.

Mary is survived by two sons, David E. (Teri) Wagner, and Brian E. (Jeannie) Wagner, both of Delphos; three grandchildren, Ashley E. Wagner, Dustin E. Wagner, and Sean M. Kresach; and one very much loved great-granddaughter, Lennon Sue Sawyer She was also preceded in death by a son, Patrick E. Wagner; three siblings, Winifred Morrow, John Wilcox, and Violet Acheson. Mary was an artist and a published author. In May of 1993, at the age of 60, she was proud to graduate Cum Laude from Defiance College with a Bachelor of Science degree.

She was a member of St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 17 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Athletic Boosters. Online condolences may be shared at www. weberfh.net.
