Mary’s Obituary Mary Elizabeth Hood Morris, 83 of Watson Chapel, went to be with the Lord, January 18, 2019. She was born in the countryside of Jefferson County to the late James Shultz and Jessie Spharler Shultz on May 26, 1935. Mary was reared and received her education at Watson Chapel and was a member of the graduating class of 1953.

She was a member of Watson Chapel Baptist Church and attended until her health no longer allowed. Mary loved the outdoors, she enjoyed fishing and traveling across the United States with her husband from coast to coast. She loved quilting and was known to be an amazing seamstress and a natural when it came to crafting.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Bob Hood, and two infant twin sisters, Nora and Della Shultz. She is survived by her loving husband, Orlen Morris; two sons, Jim Hood (Lori), Mike Hood (Jan); sister, Margaret Pearcy; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at Fuller Hale-South, with visitation beginning one-hour prior.

Burial will follow in Ramick Cemetery. The family would like to express their gratitude to Annetta Molina and Assisted Care for Seniors and to Arkansas Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made to Arkansas Alzheimer’s Association.
