Obituary for Mary Lane (Scott) Mary (Betty) Scott Lane, age 96, formerly of the Verona/McConnellsville area, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2018, at the Masonic Care Community. She was born November 1, 1921, in Chehalis, WA, a daughter of the late Jerome and Mildred Hale Scott. Mary was united in marriage to Durwood G. Lane, on April 18, 1940, in Albany, NY; he died November 1, 2010.

They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in April 2010. Mary is survived by three daughters, Priscilla, Lois and Kathleen; 11 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; four great, great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews on both the east and west coasts. She was predeceased by a son, Durwood Jr.; and a daughter, Nancy.

Mary’s family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Wiley Hall, and the Masonic Community Care Center for their wonderful care and compassion. Funeral services will be private There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to McConnellsville Community Church, or your local food pantry, or local Rescue Mission.
