Mary Ella Whitney (nee Jordan) Age 96, of Carney’s Point, NJ went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 14, 2019. Mary was a lifelong resident of Carney’s Point and graduated from PennsGrove HS. She went on to work for DuPont Chambers Works until her retirement.

After retirement, she and her husband loved spending time on their boat, at their trailer in Sea Isle City, NJ and with their family. Mary is survived by her granddaughters Allison (Cheeseman), Stephanie (Trout), daughter in-law Sue (Whitney), great grandchildren Lindsay, Jacob, Alexis, and Joshua (Cheeseman); Alyssa (Trout), great great grandson Ethan, and many devoted and loving nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband William Whitney, son William Whitney Jr., sister Lillie (Armstrong), and brothers Cliff, Ralph, John and Leon Jordan.
