Mary Frances Shelton Cox, age 77, of Moravian Falls, NC, passed away on November 13, 2018, at SECU Hospice Center, Yadkinville, NC. She was born on July 11, 1941, to the late General Carter Shelton and Bernice Inez Holt Shelton. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah Branch (Jimmy) and Penny Newsome (Dean); three sisters and a brother-in-law, Myrtle Wagner, Doris Rogers (Jolly) and Joy Willard; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James Eddie Shelton (Pat) and J.T. Shelton (Gloria); grandson, Adam Newsome (Esther); and step-granddaughter, Kristen Branch.

She was preceded in death by her parents, General Carter Shelton and Bernice Inez Holt Shelton; and two brothers-in-law, Jerry Wagner and Jerry Willard. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at Cox-Needham Funeral Chapel at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Stan Hostetter and Rev.

Tim McCann officiating. Interment will follow in Old Orchard Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 16, 2018, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Cox Needham Funeral Chapel.
