OBITUARY Mary Frances Westwater October 12, 1918 – September 20, 2018 Mary Frances Slauson Westwater passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the age of 99. She was a lifelong resident of Birmingham/Hoover, AL and a graduate of Phillips High School. Mary Frances was a member Bluff Park United Methodist Church and was retired from Jefferson County.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert William Westwater; brothers: Charles and Thomas Slauson; parents: Proctor Croel Slauson and Mary Ann Carey Slauson; Survivors include her daughters: Anne Foote (Jim) of Hoover and Linda Kay Westwater of Hoover; granddaughter, Allison Foote Dillon (Chad); great granddaughter, Hannah Dillon of Hoover. Her Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Bluff Park United Methodist Church. We also want to thank all of her caregivers at South Haven Health and Rehabilitation, Rev. Tom Duley and Comfort Care Hospice.

We miss and will always love our dear mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
