Mary Gabrielle Klawonn, age 94, of Osawatomie, Kansas passed away June 22, 2018 at Life Care Center of Osawatomie. Mary was born January 31, 1924 at Bucyrus, Kansas, one of six children to Daniel and Catherine O’Rourke Guetterman. She attended Wea grade school and high school.

She was married to Robert L. Klawonn on January 20, 1951 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Wea, Kansas. In August of 1955 they adopted two children from Quebec, Canada, David and Linda. Mary helped her husband… Read More » in their farming and dairy operation.

After her children were grown, she went to work at Roberta’s Tea Room in Paola and retired in 1987. She liked to garden, raise flowers and cook for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, son David, and brothers Daniel, Edward, Paul and John.

She is survived by her daughter Linda Hinkle (Barry) of Paola; grandchildren Michelle Burt (Jeff) of Bellevue, NE, Kevin Courtney (Amy) of Baldwin City, KS, Jeremy Hinkle (Shannon) of New Strawn, KS, Christopher Hinkle (Ryann) of Salina, KS and Albert Klawonn of Paola, KS; 13 great grandchildren; sister Cecilia Seuferling of Paola; and many nieces and nephew. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church or Life Care Center of Osawatomie. Family and friends are encouraged to post their memories and condolences on Mary’s Tribute Wall.
