Mary’s Obituary Mary Grace Gleason, 85, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, of Charlestown, RI passed away Friday, March 15, 2019. She was the wife of the late William J. Gleason. Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Pedro) DiPrete.

She was the loving mother of William, Glenn and Kathleen; beloved grandmother of Justin, Glenn Jr., Michael and Alexis; loving great grandmother of Parker and Duke. Grace worked as the CEO of the Cranston Credit Union for many years. After retirement Gracie and Buddy moved south past the tower to Charlestown.

She was a volunteer at South County Hospital and earned several honorary pins for her services. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends and always made sure there was something to eat that everyone liked. She often offered wise words of wisdom and she had a knack for always saying something funny.

Grace could talk to anyone about anything. She was a kind, caring, loving person and was always willing to help anyone from her heart. Grace will be truly missed by her family and friends and all that knew her.

The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this time. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10am in St. James Chapel, 2079 Matunuck Schoolhouse Rd. Charlestown.

Burial will be with Buddy in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of RI.
