Mary Hazel Blanton Laws, 83, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019 in Bolivia, NC. Mrs. Laws was born August 17, 1935 in Swain County, NC to the late Robert Blanton and Bonnie Bridges Blanton. She was married to the late Woodrow Laws.

Mrs. Laws was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was also of the Church of God Faith. Survivors include her children, James Lee Laws and Shirley Ann Harwood; grandchildren, Melinda Cox, Marcy Gibson, Jamie Laws, and Shane Laws; five great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Don Blanton, John Blanton, and Lee Blanton; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2019 in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in the Tabor Cemetery in Bryson City, NC.
