Mary’s Obituary Mary Jane Dunkin, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 in Chickasha at the age of 85. She was born June 3, 1933 in Star, Oklahoma to Gus and Bernice (Winters) Crook. Her childhood was spent in Oklahoma and California.

Mary received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees at Northeastern University in Tahlequah. She taught kindergarten and Special ED for 31 years. She married Glen Timothy Dunkin on March 12, 1949.

Mary loved her family both near and far and shared many fond memories of their antics growing up during the years of the depression. She loved teaching and told about the funny serious school happenings. She wanted the best for others and strived to do her best to help them.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Glen on November 30, 2014; her parents and several brothers. Mary is survived by her children: Carolyn Grass and her husband, Jackie, of Chickasha, OK; Tim Dunkin and his wife, Janice, of Chickasha, OK; Grandchildren: Tess Brown, Scott Grass, Angi Phillips, Wade Dunkin, and Hunter Dunkin; Great grandchildren: Sierra Grass, Rachel Cannon, John, Preston and Aspen Phillips; Brayden and Alexa Dunkin, Mary Alice and Ella Kate Dunkin; Sister, Ella Brown; And brother, Carl Crook and his wife, Ronda; And many other relatives and friends.
