Obituary for Mrs. Mary Jane Thomas Simmons Mrs. Mary Jane Thomas Simmons “Sis” Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 29, 2018 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville, LA, for Mrs. Mary Jane “Sis” Thomas Simmons, 67, who entered eternal rest, Monday, September 24, 2018 in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in St. Leo the Great Catholic Cemetery. She was married to Thomas Simmons.

Mrs. Simmons is survived by six brothers, Joseph Harold Thomas (Shelia), Joseph Howard Thomas, Marlin Thomas, Jr. (Janice), Joseph Ronald Thomas (Bridget), Joseph Donald Thomas (Deborah) and John Thomas (Gwen) all of Opelousas, LA; a sister, Patsy Thomas of Opelousas, LA; two aunts, Wilda Dejean of Leonville, LA and Laura Mae Boast of Opelousas, LA; two Godchildren, Delilah Ford and Joseph Chris Thomas both of Opelousas, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her parents, Marlin Thomas, Sr. & Mary Tyler Thomas and three brothers, Patrick Thomas, James Martin Thomas and Eugene Thomas; two nephews, Joshua Thomas and Troy Thomas. Visiting hours will be observed from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, September 29, 2018 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church.
