OBITUARY Mary Jo Payne April 17, 1940 – October 23, 2018 Mary Jo Payne, 78, passed away on October 22, 2018 in Plano, Texas after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas by her parents Marie and Joseph Deurmyer. She attended Washburn University and was a Delta Gamma.

Mary Jo loved to spend time with her family. She loved to knit, sew, cook and play Bridge. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Mary Joe is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Marie Deurmyer, daughter Cheryl Payne, granddaughter Elizabeth Parker and brother Jim Deurmyer. Mary Jo is survived by her daughter Christie Parker and son-in-law Tom Parker, 4 grandchildren; Emily Parker, Luke Parker, Blake Farmer, and Charlie Leal, and 3 great grandchildren; Piper Lanning, Lila and Wade Farmer. A small, private memorial service, with family and friends, for Mary Jo will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 in Plano, Texas.
