Mary L Clifford Wallace Mayle , February 27, 1922 — May 17, 2018

Mary L. Wallace Mayle, 96, of Zanesville, died at 2:56 P.M. on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville. She was born February 27, 1922, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Herman and Beulah Mayle Clifford. She retired as a LPN from Good Samaritan Hospital, where she loved working with the newborn babies, and was a member of Union Tabernacle Church.

She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and playing keyboard and singing gospel songs. She treasured her grandchildren and enjoyed her prayer ministry which she had with her husband Henry. She outlived two husbands.

She is survived by three sons, Thomas E. and Charles Etta Wallace, Reuben J. Wallace, Jr., and Raymond D. and Crystal Wallace; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Rueben J. Wallace; her second husband, Rev. Henry Mayle; a son, Boyd H. Wallace; a grandson, Timothy E. Wallace; two brothers, Carlos and James Clifford; and a sister, Anna Mae Clifford.

Friends and family may call from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the Union Tabernacle Church, 2433 Hartford Avenue, Zanesville and one hour prior to funeral services which will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, May 21, 2018, with Rev. Terry D. Newman officiating. She will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery, Zanesville.
