OBITUARY Mary Lou Gorab September 26, 1924 – January 20, 2019 Marie “Mary Lou” Gorab (nee Pavese), 94, a lifelong resident of Emerson, NJ, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Sunday, January 20, 2019. She was born in Emerson, NJ to Frank and Lucy Pavese. Beloved wife of the late Edmund Gorab.

Loving sister of Connie Roccanova and Lucille Koepplinger. She is predeceased by her sister, Virginia Pecoraro and her brothers, Frank Pavese Jr. and Robert Pavese Sr She is also survived by her many cherished nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

She was a parishioner of Church of the Assumption and a member of the Emerson Seniors. Before retiring in 2004, Mary Lou owned and operated Salon Shalimar, a successful beauty salon in Hackensack and Emerson. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Tuesday, January 22 from 2-4 and 7-9PM.

The Funeral Mass celebrating Mary Lou’s life and faith will be held at Church of the Assumption, Emerson, NJ on Wednesday, January 23 at 10AM. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Hackensack, NJ.
