OBITUARY Mary Nell Murchison November 28, 1924 – July 13, 2018 Mary Nell Murchison, age 93, went to be with the Lord Jesus on Friday, July 13, 2018. Mary Nell was born on November 28, 1924 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Ethel and Walter McDurmont. She was preceded in passing by her husband Dewey E. Murchison; her grandsons, Michael and Brandon Clough; and 3 sisters.

Mary Nell is survived by her daughters Sandy Thompson and Debi Clough and her son Dee Murchison; 3 granddaughters; 4 grandsons; 5 great-granddaughters; 3 great-grandsons; and numerous other relatives. Mary Nell, known affectionately as “Gran Gran” to her grandchildren, was a woman of strong faith that she lived out daily. She loved painting pictures, traveling, and spending time at the beach.

Mary Nell was an avid fan of the Crimson Tide. She was a wonderful mother who adored and cared for her family above all else. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

A visitation for Mary Nell will be held Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel, 1500 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, Alabama, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville, Alabama.
